Table Rock Dam was completed in 1958 to flood the 43,000 acres that form Table Rock Lake. Its 745 miles of shoreline, some gently sloping and others ruggedly steep, attract millions of visitors annually. They come to challenge championship sized bass and crappie, to skim the lake's surface with the breeze at their faces, and just to bask in the beauty of clear blue-green waters punctuated by lushly forested hillsides and sheer limestone bluffs.
